International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) Launches Dual Global Surveys to Deliver First-Ever Molded Fiber Industry Intelligence

International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) Launches Dual Global Surveys to Deliver First-Ever Molded Fiber Industry Intelligence

At a pivotal moment of growth and transformation, the International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) has launched two global benchmarking surveys to deliver a first-of-its-kind snapshot of molded fiber industry data.

As demand for sustainable packaging accelerates worldwide, the molded fiber industry is growing in both scale and complexity. What began as a focused industry network has evolved into a global platform for collaboration, technical advancement, and industry advocacy. Today, IMFA supports its members through its global annual Conference convening industry leaders, active committees, educational resources, and a growing focus on industry affairs, an area that is becoming increasingly important as regulatory and market pressures evolve worldwide.

“This initiative reflects the evolution of both our industry and our association,” said Chairman Gary Visser. “Our leaders need real data, not assumptions. By bringing together executive perspective and operational insight, we are building something the industry has never had before.”

Both surveys are fully confidential and administered exclusively by Canopy Management Group’s data department. Results will be reported only in aggregated regional and global formats, following strict antitrust best practices and statistical safeguards to ensure anonymity, which helps participants feel secure in sharing honest data.

Each survey takes less than 20 minutes to complete.

Access to the final benchmarking reports will be available exclusively to companies that submit completed surveys. This opportunity is open to both members and nonmembers as a one-time, complimentary program.

Survey participation is open now, with a submission deadline of April 10, 2026.

Initial high-level findings will be unveiled at IMFA’s Annual Global Molded Fiber Conference, taking place April 14–16, 2026, at the Torre Melina Gran Meliá in Barcelona, Spain. The conference will bring together hundreds of industry leaders from around the world for the only in-person global event dedicated exclusively to molded fiber.

Attendees will explore the latest advancements in molded fiber technology, gain insight into emerging trends in sustainable packaging, and connect with manufacturers, suppliers, and decision-makers across the global value chain. A real-time translation platform will support seamless participation across languages, reinforcing the conference’s global reach.

Industry leaders are encouraged to participate in the surveys to ensure their organizations are represented in this global benchmark and to gain access to critical insights that will inform strategic decision-making.
