International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA) Honors Mike Gallant and Paul Carter as 2026 Fellow Award Recipients

The International Molded Fiber Association (IMFA), the only global trade association dedicated exclusively to molded fiber, recognized Mike Gallant and Paul Carter as 2026 Fellow Award recipients during its 28th Annual Global Molded Fiber Conference in Barcelona, Spain.

The IMFA Fellow Award honors individuals whose leadership, technical expertise, and long-term service have made a lasting impact on the molded fiber industry and the global community behind it. The recognition reflects not only professional achievement but also a sustained commitment to advancing the industry through collaboration, mentorship, and innovation.

Mike Gallant, Vice President of Engineering (Fiber) at CKF Incorporated, has spent nearly three decades advancing molded fiber manufacturing across North America. Known for his steady leadership and deep technical expertise, Gallant has supported operations across multiple facilities and played a key role in the continued growth of CKF’s molded fiber business. His long-standing involvement with IMFA spans more than two decades, including consistent participation in conferences, committee service, and recent Board leadership.

Paul Carter brings more than four decades of experience across pulp, paper, and molded fiber, with a career defined by innovation, operational leadership, and technical advancement. From his early work in process engineering to leadership roles with Keyes Fibre, Chinet operations in North America and Europe, and later Huhtamaki, Carter has helped shape molded fiber manufacturing on a global scale. His nearly two decades of involvement with IMFA include service on the Board of Advisors and Board of Directors, and, most recently, as Conference Planning Chair and a member of the Executive Committee.

“Careers like Mike’s and Paul’s don’t just contribute to the industry—they help define it,” said IMFA Chairman Gary Visser. “They’ve built, led, and shared their knowledge in ways that have strengthened both the work we do and the global community behind it.”

The IMFA Fellow Award is presented to individuals with more than 20 years of experience in molded fiber and at least 15 years of active involvement with the association. Recipients are recognized by their peers as leaders in manufacturing and are known for their commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and industry advancement.

Gallant and Carter were recognized during IMFA’s 28th Annual Conference, held April 14–16, 2026, at the Torre Melina Gran Meliá in Barcelona. The event brought together leaders from 26 countries and 88 companies, reinforcing IMFA’s role as the global platform for industry collaboration, technical exchange, and market insight at a time of rapid growth and change for molded fiber.
